![]() I placed the conch shell Hubby found earlier that morning on top and waited for the fun to begin. While Hubby distracted Jalen with a search for sea shells, I frantically began digging in the sand and buried the treasure chest. He told her the best way to spot a place to dig for treasure is to look for something unusual, like a special shell, that might mark the spot. Which, included a quick lesson on searching for pirate treasure. Hubby took Jalen by the hand to look for sea shells. So it should go without saying that we headed straight for the beach after Jalen’s dinosaur dig was over. Actually, it’s a Disney miracle I kept this quiet long enough to make this happen. I’m terrible at keeping surprises a secret. I admired the view, and hubby found a perfect conch shell that I later used to “mark the spot” of treasure. Meanwhile, we checked out Castaway Cove, the adults only beach. Jalen stopped by the kid’s club to dig for dinosaur bones. I hid the treasure chest in the bottom of our beach tote when we arrived. Once I had the treasure chest all assembled, I secretly packed it away in our luggage and didn’t get it out again until we reached Castaway Cay. To save you a bit of time searching, you can access find these items and more here. With a quick search online, I found many items to create a treasure chest I can only imagine a pirate would love.įrom pirate coins, gems, compass, telescope, boatswain whistle, to even the treasure chest itself, all are available for purchase on Amazon’s website. But, what she hasn’t found is her jackpot of all treasure…a pirate’s treasure chest! So, when we booked a Disney cruise to Disney’s private island Castaway Cay, we knew it was the perfect opportunity to make that happen. ![]() From pretty stones to empty snail shells, she always manages to find something to keep. One of Jalen’s favorite things to do is head outside to hunt for treasure. We built an 8 ft tall mushroom just for the occasion! When we decorated our campsite for Halloween, we didn’t just hang up some store bought decorations. For instance, when our daughter Jalen lost her first tooth, I created a little fairy house outside her bedroom window. I love it so much I’m always inspired to find ways I can create a little Disney magic of my own. I’m a total sucker for Disney and the kind of magic Disney is known to provide.
